What Exchange is what?

WHAT Exchange is an omnichain decentralized exchange with an orderbook protocol designed to provide high-performance and low-latency trading infrastructure for users. It combines the advantages of centralized and decentralized exchanges, providing high performance, centralized liquidity, transparency, and asset self-custody for users.

WHAT Exchange uses a hybrid central limit order book (CLOB) model, which enables transparent, secure, and efficient trading while allowing users to self-manage their assets.

The exchange adopts a multi-chain architecture, including an asset layer (Vaults) on multiple blockchains, a centralized payment layer on a single chain, and an order book processing engine layer, which consolidates liquidity and increases transaction speed. In addition, WHAT integrates anti-MEV protection mechanisms, such as fast order matching, transaction aggregation, and on-chain payment, ensuring safety and fairness for users.

Latest updates from What Exchange

What Exchange has announced a series of important updates over the past two weeks (as of June 7, 2025), focusing on improving the user experience and expanding the ecosystem. Here are the details of the notable updates:

Auto-Referral System

What Exchange launches automatic referral feature , allowing users to earn commissions without direct trading. Users can create a referral link to receive 10% commission in USDC and 25% in $WHAT points .

However, to unlock this feature, users need to reach a minimum trading volume of $10,000 , similar to HyperLiquid's requirement. This is an attractive opportunity for those who want to increase their passive income through promoting the platform.

Update document

The documentation has also been refined to ensure relevance and accessibility, providing a clearer look at What Exchange’s vision for reshaping DeFi.

Makeup Improvements

Rewards points have been updated to accurately display user trading volume since mainnet launch.

The team encourages users to check and report any errors they find. This improvement makes it easier for users to track their transaction progress and rewards.

Mobile Navigation Bar

To improve the mobile experience, What Exchange has added a new navigation bar , allowing users to easily switch between the Transactions , Rewards , Portfolio , and Affiliate Links tabs .

The mobile pages have been optimized, but the team still encourages users to provide feedback on bugs or suggest improvements to perfect the interface.

Upcoming development plans

What Exchange is actively developing two important projects:

  • Education Platform : Currently in the final stages of development, expected to launch by the end of June 2025. The platform will offer educational courses on trading and DeFi, with more quizzes and content in the pipeline.

  • Launchpad : The project is still in development, expected to be completed around August 2025. Details will be updated closer to the launch date.

Vision and Roadmap

What Exchange continues to pursue its goal of becoming a leading multi-chain trading platform, with a clear roadmap:

  • Q4/2024 : Launch the platform, attract users and build the basic ecosystem.

  • Q1/2025 : Expand trading features, focus on professional traders and improve user experience.

  • Q2/2025 : Strengthen decentralized governance, expand ecosystem and list on CEX exchanges

  • Future : Adjust the $WHAT token supply to optimize value and ensure sustainable development.

While information on tokenomics and token allocation has yet to be released, What Exchange is committed to updating details soon.

With new updates to the referral system, documentation, makeup, and mobile navigation, What Exchange is gradually strengthening its position in the DeFi space.

Plans to launch an education platform and launchpad in the coming months promise to bring more value to the community. Users can follow the progress via the official documentation page and related links for the latest updates.
