Over the past decade, cloud computing has become a hot topic around the world, allowing large tech companies to expand and thrive. As we move closer to an AI-driven future, the risk of centralization becomes greater.

Gradient Network is a DePIN platform developed on the Solana blockchain, with the mission of optimizing the use of computing resources in the context of rapidly developing AI.

Gradient Network's vision is to make computing inclusive, accessible, and affordable for everyone. Developers identify AI inference, content distribution, and serverless functionality as high-potential verticals.

By focusing on interoperability, Gradient Network enables seamless connectivity between Ethereum, Bittensor, and Solana. With a focus on decentralizing computation, Gradient Network aims to reduce centralization and provide infrastructure while enhancing user privacy.

Structure of Gradient Network

Pervasive Connectivity Layer

The Pervasive Connectivity Layer will act as a relay station to receive information from Workers and analyze this information through the model: Peer to Peer Connectivity Infra and Global Network Analytics.

Homogenized Computation Layer

The Homogenized Computation Layer will play the role of commercializing computing resources together. From there, unify everything into one layer so that other components can query easily.

Adaptive Orchestration Layer

Through this layer, every computing device can seamlessly access the compute layer via Adaptive Orchestration by coordinating the relevant services.

Homogenized Computation Layer

This layer helps transform resources from different sources into a common, easy-to-process format.

The main role of Gradient Network

Node, also known as Sentry Node, is a component in the Pervasive Connectivity Layer and is responsible for operating the network. It operates similarly to blockchains using the Proof of Stake consensus mechanism, ensuring stability and security for the entire system.

Sentry Nodes protect privacy, use very little resources with only <1MB/month. Sentry Nodes can connect globally and form a network and ensure the continuous operation of computing resources on the network.

Development roadmap Q4 2024:

The network's operations and architecture are designed layer by layer, serving the overall development stages of the project. Specifically:

  • Pervasive Connectivity Layer: Responsible for connecting network components together. The structure of this layer is built on the Meshed Network model, which ensures the distribution of data processing responsibility across multiple nodes, instead of depending on a central server.

  • Homogenized Computation Layer: When users provide computing resources, they come from many different sources, CPU, GPU, memory, hard drive…

  • Adaptive Orchestration Layer: Used to manage and distribute computing resources to specialized tasks. The purpose of this layer is to help computing power be used efficiently, avoiding overload or lack of resources.

  • Oracles and Settlement Layer: Built on the Solana network, responsible for processing transactions and settlements related to resource usage. This layer uses third-party Oracle solutions to ensure data accuracy.

In short, Gradient Network operates based on a layered architecture , optimizing the use of computing resources. The connection layer ensures the connectivity between nodes, the homogenization layer processes input data. Meanwhile, the coordination layer allocates resources reasonably and the Oracles layer manages transactions. Each layer plays an important role, helping the network operate efficiently and stably.

Tokenomic

The project has introduced $GDT as the project token. However, the project side has not introduced a specific tokenomic table yet.

$GDT will serve multiple purposes in the Gradient ecosystem. Not only as a reward for participation, but also playing an important role in governance, staking, and liquidity provision.

Staking and Governance: $GDT holders can stake $GDT to participate in network governance. By doing so, they can vote on important proposals that shape the future of the network. This decentralized governance structure ensures that the community has a direct say in the development of the network.

Providing liquidity: As the platform grows, $GDT will become an integral part of decentralized finance (DeFi) on the Solana and Ethereum ecosystems.

Currently, users will have the opportunity to receive $GDT airdrop in the future through the airdrop program to earn points.

Summary

Gradient Network is a potential project in the AI+Depin field. With support from large funds, the project promises to develop further in the future.
