Gate Vault uses MPC to split private keys into “key fragments” stored on multiple independent nodes, ensuring that the full key never exists in a single location. During transaction signing, the system performs distributed computation, completely eliminating the risk of key exposure – a common problem with traditional wallets.

The product is built with a four-layer defense system, providing enterprise-grade security while giving users maximum control:

• Tripartite Distributed Storage Architecture : Key fragments are stored separately on the user device, the Gate server, and a trusted third-party provider. Even if a node is compromised, the full key cannot be replicated, effectively preventing attacks.

• 2/3 Signature Mechanism : Gate and third parties cannot initiate or complete transactions without confirmation from the user, ensuring absolute ownership.

• 48-hour withdrawal delay : Creates a safety buffer, allowing users to freeze or cancel transactions if unusual activity is detected.

• Global Disaster Recovery : Supports multi-device recovery and multi-party collaboration, even if Gate service is down, users can still recover assets through third-party open source tools.
